Welcome to Strathearn Riding Club

We are a small friendly club with around 100 members from Dunblane to Aberfeldy and from Crieff to Abernethy. If you join us then the emphasis will be on fun and we will try to provide as many opportunities for you to enjoy your horse(s) as we can regardless of your ability. Strathearn Riding Club aims to cater for everyone, from grass roots riders to more experienced BS, BD and BE competitors.

Throughout the year we offer a wide variety of training events, rallies and clinics with top class instructors at purpose-built venues. We also run a few competitions and leagues in collaboration with existing local venues and we actively encourage our members to take part in BRC Area 22 and Scottish competitions at a subsidised rate.

Strathearn Riding Club

So, whether you are interested in competing at 1m plus, elementary dressage and representing your club, or would prefer to take part in social hacks and try your hand at intro dressage, Strathearn Riding Club is for you.

Scottish RC Championships 1st/2nd June 2024

This years Scottish Riding Club Championships will be held on the earlier dates of 1st and 2nd June due to the weather being very unreliable later in the year.

Once again they will take place at Auchlishie with classes for dressage, showjumping, style jumping and on Sunday, horse trials at all levels.

Strathearn RC is usually well represented at this event so please go to the downloads page where you will find the schedule and entry form, also a sponsorship form.

Please read the schedule carefully as the organisers have listened carefully to our feedback from last year and there are quite a few changes to the classes.

Entries should be sent to Sue by 30th April. That’s not long so don’t miss out!!

SRC Camp

Camps are hugely popular with our members, so with this in mind, we have decided to run our very own camp at Netherton Equestrian on 3rd and 4th May.

Coaches will be Erik Mackechnire Guire and Carol Stanley and there will be a mixture of flat, poles and jumping.

Stabling is available at Netherton and lunch and an evening meal will be provided by the wonderful Hazelnuts Catering.

Erik will do a talk on Friday night and the lovely Sarah from Baileys horse feeds will be there for you to discuss your horses’ dietary requirements/issues.

Booking is all up now on equoevents.

Gleneagles Dressage League

Once again SRC will be piggy-backing on the Gleneagles Dressage league and awarding rosettes to the best SRC member plus a trophy at the AMM in December.

The first one is Wednesday 17th April and there will be one every month starting at 5.30 until September.

Its a great, informal way to introduce your horse to dressage from intro to elementary!

For new and returning Members to Strathearn Riding Club please use the Membership page to complete your application and/or renew your subscription. We look forward to welcoming you to another year as part of our Club.
